Prizes and Grants

The Computer History Museum (CHM) Prize is awarded by SIGCIS to the author of an outstanding book in the history of computing broadly conceived, published during the prior three years.

The Mahoney Prize recognizes an outstanding article in the history of computing and information technology, broadly conceived, published during the prior three years.

These awards provide supplementary funds for graduate students working on the history of information technology to help defray the cost of travel and expenses to the annual SIGCIS Workshop held in conjunction with the Society for the History of Technology (SHOT) meeting.
